Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker

"I am a clinical social worker licensed in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. I received my undergraduate degree in psychology from Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA and my Master's degree in Social Work from Boston College in Boston, MA. I also have a certificate in Conflict Management from Pepperdine University's School of Law, Straus Institute. I have a wide range of experience working with adults with various mental health challenges.
I have most recently worked at Mclean Hospital providing services to clients all over the hospital struggling with anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorders, psychosis, mood disorders, and substance use. My clinical approach is eclectic, integrating a range of evidence-based practice methods (cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness practices, etc.). I look forward to building an authentic connection with each person I work with.
I utilize a collaborative approach, providing a safe, nonjudgmental space for clients to be able to openly express themselves and work through challenges that may be interfering with them reaching their goals. I seek to help clients better understand their circumstances, clarify their goals and values, notice/modify thought patterns as needed, and learn different techniques to use to better address concerns. I believe every individual has their own unique purpose as found through the journey of exploring one's values, assessing one's strengths and the process of navigating life's challenges."
