he/him

My name is Matt Clements and I am a Masters Level Clinician with experience as a licensed School Social Worker and Adjustment Counselor in Massachusetts. I am currently pursuing my Licensed Mental Health Counselor credential as well. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Linguistics from Columbia University and a Master’s in Education in Prevention Science and Practice from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where I also completed a Certificate of Advanced Study in Adolescent Counseling. I am experienced in working with individuals of diverse cultural backgrounds, gender identities, and sexualities, helping them manage issues like anxiety, depression, grief, mood disorders, and acculturative or post-traumatic stress.

In particular, I specialize in working with adults and adolescents dealing with anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, social difficulties, life transitions, relationship struggles, LGBTQ+ identity exploration, and/or acculturative stress. I work with clients to strengthen self-confidence, create meaningful connections, help them feel more at ease in their identities, navigate major transitions, and develop the tools to handle life’s challenges with greater resilience. I can provide therapy in English, Spanish, and Portuguese as well.

In my sessions, I prioritize building a caring and collaborative therapeutic relationship where clients feel comfortable reflecting on their experiences and exploring paths toward their desired life outcomes. I use a blend of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and mindfulness/meditation techniques, tailored to you and your needs. My approach integrates both reflective techniques, such as narrative therapy and journaling, and more directive methods, like CBT and Solution-Focused Therapy, depending on what best supports you.

she/her

I am a clinical social worker licensed in Massachusetts. I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA, and my master’s degree in social work from Simmons University in Boston, MA. I discovered my passion for therapy while working as a therapeutic mentor for youth with significant emotional and mental health needs and pursued opportunities to support individuals from diverse backgrounds. I have experience working with adults who struggle with depression and anxiety as a result of various stressors related to housing, economic challenges, relationship problems, immigration, and abrupt life transitions. I proudly identify as a Latina clinician and aspire to contribute to the destigmatization of mental health in the Latinx community and across all populations, fostering a more inclusive and accepting space for healing.

I specialize in supporting adults navigating life’s challenges, including anxiety, depression, cultural identity exploration, family dynamics, social issues, relationships, self-esteem concerns, grief, and/or caregiver stress. I welcome clients from Latinx backgrounds, including Spanish-speaking and bilingual individuals, who may be exploring cultural and racial identity or facing unique cultural dilemmas. I can provide therapy in English and Spanish. My approach is collaborative and tailored to your needs, integrating evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness/meditation practices, emotion regulation or distress tolerance techniques, trauma-informed care practices, and narrative therapy. Above all, I strive to create a space rooted in safety, respect, empathy, and nonjudgment, where you feel validated and supported in your growth.

Therapy doesn’t mean something is wrong with you; therapy highlights your resilience and ability to overcome personal challenges. It’s a collaborative process that empowers you to navigate life’s difficulties with greater self-awareness, confidence, and clarity. I aim to provide a space where you maintain autonomy while my expertise provides the tools and support to help you reach your goals—you don’t have to do it alone. I can help you identify and manage difficult emotions while increasing self-awareness of the connection between your mind and body. I offer a therapeutic space that is strength-based, client-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally and identity-affirming.

I look forward to building an authentic connection with each person I work with.

I utilize a collaborative approach, providing a safe, nonjudgmental space for clients to be able to openly express themselves and work through challenges that may be interfering with them reaching their goals. My clinical approach integrates a range of evidence-based practice methods (cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness practices, etc). I believe every individual has their own unique purpose as found through the journey of exploring one's values, assessing one's strengths and the process of navigating life's challenges.
